We're on the lookout for a dynamic DRG Auditor III to join our team. This hybrid role offers a unique blend of remote work and travel to some of the most vibrant cities in the U.S., including San Antonio, TX, and Nashville, TN. What’s in it for you? Travel Adventures : Approximately 6 weeks of travel per quarter to San Antonio, TX, and Nashville, TN, with potential future trips to Tampa, FL, and Richmond, VA. Travel expenses are covered Hybrid Flexibility : When you’re not on the road, enjoy the comfort and convenience of remote auditing from anywhere. Your Role and Responsibilities: Expert Review : Conduct detailed reviews of medical records and coding to validate the accuracy of DRG or APR DRG code assignments. Onsite Audits : Perform facility onsite audits once per quarter, both locally and out-of-state, with expenses fully reimbursed. Professional Documentation : Write professional finding notes based on EXL policies and official coding guidelines. Data Entry : Enter all required DRG review information into our encoder program to obtain validated DRGs. Issue Resolution : Identify and review questionable encoder results with the program manager, and escalate facility issues as needed. Workflow Management : Update the status of audits in the audit workflow system. Compliance and Quality : Adhere to EXL policies, HIPAA regulations, and meet established productivity and quality goals. Essential Requirements: Education : Minimum High School Diploma; CCS, CIC, CPC with Inpatient Experience. Experience : At least 1 year of inpatient hospital coding or auditing experience. Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to travel quarterly, and work remotely. Working Conditions: Extended periods of sitting, occasional walking, and light lifting (up to 5 pounds). Regular use of hands, wrists, and finger movements for keyboarding and note-taking. Ability to read printed materials and computer screens, and handle verbal and written communications. Why EXL Health?
