Job Summary: Manufacturing Engineers learn production operations and the manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment. They develop manufacturing engineering skills, an understanding of manufacturing (cost, quality, safety and schedule), and RMD systems and tools. MEs build technical depth in manufacturing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization.**Please Note: This position is located at the Raytheon Diné Facility in Farmington, NM. RTX- Diné Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices.Responsibilities to Anticipate:Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined teamImprove cycle time and lead timeImplement manufacturing process control and performance monitoringCreate and oversee improvement projectsTranslate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processesPerform hardware defect analysisParticipate in corrective action investigationsQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience supporting production in a manufacturing environmentExperience with interpretation of technical documentation (i.e. Engineering drawings and specifications)Experience with the creation of work instructions in a manufacturing environmentExperience with a shop floor management system (i.e. SAP, PRISM, ERP, MRP, or similar manufacturing software)Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF)The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Value:Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace EngineeringExperience with lean manufacturing and project executionExperience with technical writingExperience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance analysisExperience reading, understanding and using drawings, schematics, blueprints and/or operating manuals to solve technical production and equipment problemsStrong engineering aptitude and analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsTechnical problem solvingActive DOD Security ClearanceDemonstrated ability to follow rules and regulations. Willing to comply with all pertinent Raytheon Environmental, Health, & Safety Organizational Directives and Instructions and other applicable Program and Site Directives and Raytheon Company PoliciesUnderstanding of all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development and advanced manufacturing initiatives, continuing through production implementation and extending to support of customer requirements and supply chain demandsExperience in statistical process controlExperience in accurately diagnosing problems and implementing solutions to restore production functionalityDemonstrated analytical skills to ascertain production or process weaknesses and provide process improvement solutionsDemonstrated ability to select new machines, components and equipment to meet program performance requirementsExperience in adjusting software parameters on production or process equipment to fix problems or improve performanceDemonstrated ability to be organized, self-motivated and dependable. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
