The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.Position Summary The Floor Technician is responsible for utilizing cleaning agents to maintain patient and non patient care areas. This includes maintaining floors, and carpets, disposing of trash and linen, cleaning surface areas, monitoring and cleaning of public waiting areas and building entrances. Cleaning office and waiting areas and assist with other duties as assigned. Provide customer service to patients and visitors by communicating needs to appropriate staff. Establishes good rapport with all staff. Must possess effective communication skills for population served and complete basic computer data entry.Minimum Requirements Similar responsibilities in a healthcare or industrial setting desired.
