Job Summary The Estimator at MasTec in Austin, Texas is responsible for assisting with the administrative function of current projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare material and subcontractor take-offs for bid projects. This position supports Project teams and works with vendors as well as personnel from other departments. * MUST have Bid 2 Win (B2W) software experience or proficient Bidding software experience.* Responsibilities Prepare accurate take-of materials, subcontracting, and production items for projects. Acquire plans for projects. Bid accurately using Bid2Win software Prepare and deliver bids. Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders for projects. Assist operations in administrative duties on projects. Furnish bid information for tracking purposes, follow bid process, and work on improving bid process. Prepare job files for operations. Keep job log up-to-date. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience and Proficiency with Bid2Win Software Knowledge of methods and specifications in the utility construction field. This position is physically active, with lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
