Patient Access Representative-PRN Will work varying shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed to fill in. Duties: * Performs admitting functions for all patients entering the organization, including gathering patient demographic information and Medicare, Medicaid or insurance information. * Greets patients and public as they enter and directs them to the appropriate department. * Communicates with all departments to facilitate patient care, patient flow, and special needs. * Operates the central switchboard and directs telephone calls, paging and taking messages appropriately. * Will collect co-pays and other payments on accounts. * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Good computer and clerical skills required. * Effective telephone and communication skills required. Employment contingent on successful background and pre-employment screenings.
