About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: 3 months (Contract to Hire)
- Shifts: 7am to 3:30pm
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will:
- Make rounds with MD and report any changes in resident condition to MD
- Accurately chart changes in condition and nursing observations
- Administer medications and perform treatments as per Physician's orders
- Take telephone/verbal orders and transcribes and notes same accurately
- Initiate and complete occurrence reports accurately
- Review lab reports and other diagnostic test reports and reports finding to MD and supervisor
- Initiate infection control reports
- Schedule resident appointments following proper procedures
- Make out daily unit report and gives a thorough report to on coming shift
- Perform other duties, as needed
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing program
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- CPR certification
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
