Job Summary Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Manages the development and implementation of information technology projects to meet business process initiatives, strategies, and objectives. Ensures existing methods and/or processes promote effective and efficient operations. Analyzes existing methods to promote effective operations through standardization, improvement, simplification, discontinuance, or other methods. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Coordinates project team from inception through completion and execute corporate planning and project management. Develops new systems, techniques and procedures for automated planning systems, reporting, issue resolution, risk management and budget tracking. Acts as senior representative for Project Management Center of Excellence. Reviews plans and schedules of other participating functions for compliance with the master schedule; resolves scheduling and inter-functional conflicts. Participates in or leads daily, weekly, or monthly meetings. Reviews to track and report project status, identifying deviations or adverse trends. Interfaces with upper management. Reviews project business case to ensure accurate costs and internal labor are identified. Ensures approval of business case and present to governing body. Mentors, supports, and develops associates and processes within the project management area. Supports internal department training through instructional opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications: 5+ years' experience leading large-scale enterprise system projects, with a strong understanding of finance and operations workflows. Experience managing ERP conversion projects by effectively creating and executing project plans and driving results across team members. Experience leading team members across multiple functions. Strong ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ability to wear multiple hats, including Scrum Master, Project Manager, and assisting Business Systems Analysts with story creation. Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and full SDLC. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent leadership, change management, and vendor management skills. Experience working with third party implementers. Proactive risk and issue management skills to ensure expected project outcomes are achieved on time and within budget, scope and expected quality. Career Level Dimensions Typical Training/Experience Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 5-8 years of experience in a related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas. Problem Complexity Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results. Autonomy Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the results expected. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues. Leadership May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority. Minimum Qualifications Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable Environmental Job Requirements Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
