Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist in conjunction with the Rehabilitation Services Director, and the Medical Director of the Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Program, conducts the pre-admission patient assessment screening assessment and provides clinical assessments of potential clients for the review and decision making about admission to the Medical Director.

  • In conjunction with the Director of Rehabilitation Services, is responsible for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive community relations and community education program.
  • Develops and maintains accurate community education information and needs assessment and develops community education programs to meet that need.
  • Coordinates the inpatient rehabilitation program internal and external community relations and communications programs.
  • In conjunction with the Rehabilitation Services Director, develops the referral development plan and tracks the effectiveness of contacts in terms of business growth.
  • Responsible for implementation of the referral development process.
  • Participates closely in the stakeholder satisfaction assessment process, performance improvement, outcomes management assessment, and performance improvement process.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Must be licensed as a current California RN or current California Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist
  • 1-3 Years in acute rehab and/or as a clinical assessment liaison
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider Course
