Sustainability Consultant - Building Services / MEP East Sussex, Nr Brighton This role is to join a small professional building services design consultancy. As a result of continued growth, they are looking for a sustainability consultant to join their friendly professional team of engineers. It’s a supportive environment where you’ll feel like a trusted team member from day one. Responsibilities To carry out Part L analysis for design stage non-domestic developments. To produce as built EPCs and carry out EPC surveys for existing buildings. To provide design stage reports for planning, such as Sustainability/Energy Statements and LZC feasibility reports. To create thermal models to test for overheating and determine daylight levels. To assist with BREEAM delivery by reviewing evidence. To coordinate with the wider mechanical and electrical design team, attend meetings, and support trainees. Qualifications At least 2 years experience as a qualified energy assessor. Degree in a relevant environmental or engineering subject beneficial. Proficient with IES. Ideally experience of carrying out Dynamic Simulation modelling. Good understanding of interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Additional experience as a DEA or delivering BREEAM or LCA would be beneficial. Ability to work as part of a team.
