About the job:

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30 PM

Pay: $25.00-$30.00/HR

The Transportation Director Under the supervision of the Center Director, this position is responsible for the transportation program, including transport of residents/participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary.Responsible for hiring, training and supervision of all drivers and dispatchers.Oversees vehicle repairs and maintenance.Responsible for meeting departmental budget goals.

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Valid Driver's License in state of hire..
  • Two (2) years of administrative/supervisory experience, in a transportation setting
  • Five (5) years of experience in the transportation industry
  • Have (1) years' experience in working with the frail or elderly population
  • Must be able to clear Background Check and Drug Scree
  • Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation


Essentials:
  • Supervises the transportation departmental staff. Responsible for departmental hiring, orientation, competency, and training procedures.
  • Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Maintains regular attendance at, and participants in Interdisciplinary Team meetings; communicates participant changes, collaborates on plan of care decisions and coordination for twenty-four (24) hour care delivery.
  • Communicates Interdisciplinary Team decisions, participant changes, plan of care changes, and updated information to transportation staff on a daily basis.
  • Ensures responsibility for running and maintaining transportation scheduling software program.
  • Ensures effective daily communications, via radio calls or otherwise, between PACE Center, transportation drivers, dispatch and Transportation Coordinator.
  • Ensures the scheduling, coordination, communication of the driver route assignments of Senior Community Care Program.
  • Ensures the scheduling of transportation for all participants outside appointments.
