We are seeking an experienced HEALTHCARE CONSTRUCTION QA INSPECTOR for a full-time position located in Dallas, Texas. The role of a Construction Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector is to ensure all aspects of a construction project meet the required quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. The QA Inspector is the on-site eyes & ears of the quality program with a main responsibility to verify construction work is performed correctly, safely, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and codes. Specific Experience Required Healthcare Construction Large Scale Commercial Vertical Construction Structural Architectural Rebar/Concrete Flooring/Tiling Wall Protections Expectations include: 2. Documentation and Reporting 3. Testing Results Oversight 4. Compliance and Standards 5. Issue Identification and Resolution 6. Coordination and Communication 7. Continuous Improvement Inspection and Verification Requires 75-80% jobsite presence Monitor Construction Manager activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards Inspect materials and workmanship throughout construction Verify dimensions, tolerances, and alignments of structural components Maintain inspection records, including checklists, test results, and non-conformance reports Prepare daily or weekly QA reports summarizing findings and corrective actions Ensure traceability of materials and components through proper documentation Witness or perform field tests (e.g., concrete slump, soil compaction, weld inspections) Coordinate with third-party testing agencies and ensure test results meet specifications Ensure compliance with local building codes, OSHA regulations, and project-specific QA/QC plans Stay updated on industry standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, AISC) Identify non-conformances or deviations from plans and specifications Work with the Construction Manager and Engineers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions Collaborate with Zone Leads, Project Managers, Engineers, and the Construction Manager to ensure quality objectives are met Participate in pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and quality audits Provide feedback and suggestions for improving construction processes and quality control measures Support training initiatives for site personnel on quality standards and procedures This project has different types of inspectors with varying focus areas including: City of Dallas codes and standards PHMS MVP QC program Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC experience on commercial construction projects; hospital or healthcare facility experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of healthcare construction requirements, codes, and regulatory agencies. Familiarity with construction materials, techniques, and best practices. Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software. Certification(s) such as ICC, ASQ, CQM-C, or OSHA 30-Hour Construction preferred. Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery & mechanical parts, uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to loud noise, and outside weather conditions. Physical Requirements: The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent unassisted sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, pushing and lifting is required. Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time for at least eight hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, ability to walk on uneven ground while physically maneuvering construction sites, ability to work in extreme temperatures or humidity, and potentially work at heights. Other Requirements: Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record. Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected. Short term, out of town, assignments may be required. Long term, out of town, assignments may be required, with advance notice of planned dates. May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime and weekends.
