About Our Team:
The Global IT SOX Compliance and ITGC is a multilocation team at Walmart responsible for identifying and managing risk for our programs. We develop and deploy methods and tools to mitigate risk, assist in remediation of issues, manage the IT SOX and ITGCs for statutory audits. We act as leaders in assisting our stakeholders in access control via our global platform tools, including user access reviews. When it comes to SOX, we manage all aspects of IT controls and compliance with the SOX act, in partnership with our business partners in Global Internal Controls who are tasked with overseeing the holistic SOX compliance program. We also assist Global Tech in developing and implementing IT controls at various layers of the technology stack.
What You Will Do:
Build trustworthy relationships with key stakeholders (IT owners, controllership, auditors) providing them with expert guidance on managing, improving, and implementing effective IT and Compliance general controls.
Promote effective communication with stakeholders during the planning, design, and execution of IT SOX audit, ensuring successful management of IT SOX risks and compliance initiatives. Ensures complete information is gathered timely for audit reviews, providing guidance on audit findings management including root cause analysis.
Support change management processes from a compliance standpoint.
Model compliance with company policies and procedures incorporating Walmarts mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity into the development, implementation, and review of Information Technology General Controls.
Support application and infrastructure teams on developing risk management initiatives across the global organization.
Support the design and implementation of controls in partnership with product and design stakeholders.
Adapt approaches to accommodate competing demands and organizational changes.
What Youll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 3 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 10 years OR 5 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 10 years OR Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 2 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 10 years required
Excellent communication skills required
Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills with diverse stakeholders to build consensus required
Preferred Qualifications
2 years experience using control frameworks (for example, COBIT, COSO).
2 years experience with cross-functional teams.
2 years current experience managing large projects.
2 years of public accounting experience in assurance or internal audit.
Information systems certification or licensure (for example, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
