Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Wastewater Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of industrial wastewater treatment within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient wastewater management strategies, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and optimizing processes to minimize environmental impact. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Wastewater System Management:

    • Oversee the design, operation, and maintenance of industrial wastewater treatment systems.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the efficiency of wastewater treatment processes.
  2. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Stay current with local, state, and federal regulations related to wastewater management.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental permits and reporting requirements.
  3. Monitoring and Analysis:

    • Implement monitoring programs to assess the quality of industrial wastewater.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  4. Team Leadership:

    • Lead a team of professionals responsible for day-to-day operations of the wastewater treatment facility.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance and compliance.
  5. Environmental Impact Reduction:

    • Develop and implement initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of industrial wastewater discharges.
    • Investigate and implement new technologies to enhance treatment efficiency.
  6. Budget Management:

    • Prepare and manage budgets for wastewater treatment operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource optimization.
  7. Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including health and safety, engineering, and regulatory affairs, to achieve organizational goals.
    • Work closely with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and consultants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in industrial wastewater management, with a minimum of [X years] in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes.
