FPGA Engineer - Solon, OH - Onsite
We are seeking an experienced FPGA/Electrical Engineer to design and document various electrical systems and subsystems for high speed inspection systems that go into the food/beverage and packaging industries Additionally, you will support critical business needs, which include resolving technical issues, visiting customer sites both domestically and internationally, and reviewing both standard and non-standard system configuration requests.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and document various FPGA (field-programmable gate array)-based systems and subsystems
  • Review and analyze product/project requirements
  • Design, control, and implement electrical products and systems
  • Develop methods and procedures to continuously improve the quality and reliability of products
  • Support critical business needs, such as resolving technical issues, visiting customer sites (domestic and international), and reviewing standard and non-standard system configuration requests
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Engineering degree and experience
  • 8+ years Electrical Engineering experience
  • Experience with VHDL programming for implementing FPGA solutions
  • PCB design - both analog and digital. Altium is preferred.
Preferred:
  • Analog and digital electronic systems
  • Lean and Six-Sigma concepts
  • SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight, or other 2D drafting software
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft products
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
