You will provide assistance with activities of daily living, promote independence, and engage residents in meaningful activities tailored to their interests and abilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others while working in a supportive and collaborative team environment.Address Resident needs with respect and attention to safetyEngage with residents in a manner that promotes their independence and maintains their dignityProvide emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasksFollow established care plans to assist residents with personal care and daily living activitiesActively engage residents through conversation and companionshipEncourage socialization and participation in activitiesProvide mobility assistance when requiredTransport or escort residents to meals and activitiesDocument care providedReport any observed changes in a resident's needs and/or condition immediately to a license nurse or manager as appropriateFollow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is always maintainedAttend and participate in required training, conducted at time of hire and/or annually, that will include training designed to assure resident safety: i.e. fire safety, missing resident, evacuations, disaster response, etc. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or working with seniors preferred, but not required.
