Project Buyer Northampton (Hybrid) 9 Month Contract £30 - £45 per hour

ARM are currently supporting one of our clients in Northampton with the recruitment of a Project Buyer on a 9 month contract.

To Project Buyer will provide purchasing support to the business and engineering project teams to support internal, research and development, prototype and production customer programmes.

Requirements:

* Supervise, coach and mentor Project Buyer/Senior Buyer and Supplier Quality Engineer. * Ensure that the company contracts with suppliers to the best terms. * Preparation of departmental strategies, including departmental and individual targets. * Achieving departmental KPI targets and monitoring individuals' performance. * Conduct monthly reviews and annual appraisals and support individual development plans. * Ensure that suppliers are selected, evaluated, re-evaluated according to ISO requirements * Establish that the suppliers have the required technical know-how, capacity, capability and financial stability. * Obtain quotations and analyse the information received to select the correct supplier. * Liaise with project team including Design, Development, Build Quality, Suppliers and Customers. * Support client proposal activities by generating costed BoM's

Requirements:

* Extensive Purchasing experience withing the Automotive industry. * Good contract law knowledge. * Strong negotiation skills. * A good understanding of Markets, Products, Processes & Commodities. * Working knowledge of SAP is an advantage. * Knowledge of Windchill or similar PDM/PLM system is desirable * CIPS qualified preferred.
