Job Summary

Avient is seeking a Quality Manager for its Winchester, Virginia location. The Quality Manager is an on-site position to manage the overall plant quality system and product testing. This person may be responsible for the supervision of Quality Engineers, Quality Associates and Process Specialists.

Essential Functions
  • Oversees the manufacturing-related processes are in control and that all product produced at the facility meets the requirements of the end-use customer.
  • Ensures that process conditions are monitored and controlled for product consistency and according to the specified conditions.
  • Ensures that products and process changes are made only according to the sequence of activities specified in the MSA/CSA process.
  • Oversees the testing in accordance with Avient Lab Performance Policy and that all product grading is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Represents the plant and Avient in all aspects of professional dealings with customers, the technology community and the commercial group. Resolves and communicates on customer complaints, and handles technical and quality questions from internal and external sources.
  • Coordinates investigation and corrective action on all plant-related customer complaints.
  • Assesses training needs and provides training to lab/production employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer knowledge
  • SAP experience a plus
