Description

The Marine Testing Manager will be responsible for the execution of testing for “on water” activities at the Suzuki Marine Technical Center USA. Manage testing fleet for repairs, registrations, in use operation and storage. Assist in the preparation test orders for endurance drivers with management. Prepare final test reports for approval. Coordinate scheduling of endurance drivers and vessels to accomplish test order objectives. Work with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot issues. Coordinate with other departments requirements to complete development projects. Train endurance drivers on internal and external procedures (i.e. USCG). Setup of advanced data logging systems. Advanced analysis of data for test report preparation. Understanding and passion for working on vessels from 12ft to 50ft. Occasional physical tasks. Other duties as assigned. Constant feedback and input to improve testing efficiency. 3 years’ experience with vehicle testing activities preferably in Marine (recreational or commercial). 3 years’ supervisory experience General understanding of best engineering and testing practices Experience with ERP systems Must be familiar with corporate legal, risk and insurance responsibilities Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with cross-functional teams and all levels of the organization Attention to detail, ability to follow company policies and able to take initiative Understanding of MatLab or LabView software Understanding of electric theory and vessel application Understanding of ABYC standards Understanding of USCG regulations Preferred Qualifications BS Degree in Engineering Discipline (ME, EE, etc.)
