Due to the ongoing success of this initiative, we are currently looking for highly skilled and motivated Environmental Consultant to join our dedicated team in strengthening the nexus between water and energy.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant with experience of water and / or energy projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in addressing the complex nexus between water and energy systems, contributing to the management of contamination and remediation projects that leave a lasting positive legacy as part of a visionary journey toward a more sustainable and harmonious world.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyse, assess, and address the interdependencies between water and energy systems, ensuring optimal resource utilisation and minimising environmental impact.Apply your expertise in contamination and remediation strategies to design and implement effective solutions that mitigate environmental risks and ensure compliance with regulations.Conduct thorough site assessments, utilising advanced methodologies and technologies to identify sources of contamination, assess the extent of impact, and propose appropriate remediation strategies.Lead fieldwork, including site investigations and sampling, to gather critical data for accurate environmental assessments and site characterisations.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project alignment throughout all project phases.Prepare technical reports, impact assessments, and regulatory documentation that demonstrate a deep understanding of water-energy dynamics and contamination/remediation processes.Keep abreast of evolving environmental regulations, technological advancements, and industry best practices to continuously enhance project outcomes and maintain GHD's reputation as a leading consulting firm.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Environmentalist) are advantageous.Demonstrable experience in the environmental consulting sector, with a focus on the water energy nexus and contamination/remediation projects.Proven ability to apply scientific principles to solve complex environmental challenges, with a strong foundation in water and energy dynamics.Proficiency in utilising environmental modelling software, GIS tools, and data analysis techniques to support decision-making processes.Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and ensure high-quality deliverables.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to engage with diverse stakeholders and convey technical information clearly and effectively.A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying informed about the latest industry trends and advancements.Benefits:Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, flexible working and more.Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.A dynamic and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and teamwork.Contribution to meaningful, sustainable energy projects that have a positive impact on the environment and society.If you are a motivated and forward-thinking consultant who is passionate about shaping the energy transition, we invite you to join our team at GHD.#J-18808-Ljbffr
