We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician to join our team at an inpatient rehabilitation unit located in the Chicagoland region. The successful candidate will work in both acute and subacute facilities, providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients with various physical and functional impairments. The physician will also have a one-in-four call schedule and may have the opportunity to work in an outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities:Provide high-quality physical medicine and rehabilitation services to patients in acute and subacute facilitiesPerform thorough assessments of patients to determine their functional abilities, limitations, and needsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and patient goalsCollaborate with other healthcare professionals, including therapists and nurses, to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomesMonitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing education and support to patients and their familiesParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to rehabilitation servicesProvide on-call coverage on a rotating basis as part of a one in four call scheduleSupervise and mentor other healthcare professionals, including therapists and students, as neededMay have the opportunity to work in an outpatient setting and participate in leadership positions within the department or hospital Qualifications:Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and RehabilitationActive medical license in the state of Illinois or eligibility for licensureMinimum of 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, preferably in an inpatient acute or subacute facilityStrong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based rehabilitation practicesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary teamFlexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, and paid time off.
