Responsibilities:
Overseeing the overall financial operations of the organization, including accounting, budgeting, audits, and tax activities
Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and goals in coordination with system management
Providing financial leadership to department heads and officers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Planning and implementing new services to generate additional revenue
Supervising departmental operations and personnel in accordance with organizational standards
Coordinating payroll, payroll taxes, and other reporting to regulatory agencies
Analyzing and promoting organization-wide performance improvement activities
Representing the organization at various meetings, including medical staff and community gatherings
Participating in monthly operation reviews and corporate office meetings as necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred
Previous experience as a Hospital CFO
Minimum 10 to 15 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
3-5 years of experience in a leadership role
Proven multitasking abilities with a background in small hospital settings
Knowledge of Medicare cost-based reimbursement and ACA compliance reporting
Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as CMS, reimbursement, charge master, and financial systems
Proficiency in electronic financial systems, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and the community
