Our client needs a Refrigeration Engineer on their design team. You will create new product designs as well as modifications to existing refrigeration products. The Refrigeration Engineer will be part of a team of 9 engineers. Collect and analyze data from tests on prototypes.Obtain timely and successful certification of new or revised products through certifying agencies (UL, CSA, ETL & NSF) and oversee DOE compliance of products.Review current processes and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiencies, quality and reduce cost.Provide a list of cost reduction projects that will improve manufacturing. Assist and write (update) the product specifications and operating manuals.What they are looking for:BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.5+ years of refrigeration design experience is required, highly preferred is refrigeration design of food equipment. Must have some experience with concept to prototype to production.New product development experience is highly desired.Must have 3D design skills (they use SolidWorks).Must have some knowledge of testing, NSF, UL, CSA and ETL compliance.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
