Compliance Specialist

As an essential supplier to the Department of Defense, our customers expect and verify our compliance with government and contractual requirements. The growing scope of these demands warrants us looking to add a specific skill set to our team. We are looking for a candidate who can respond in a timely and appropriate way to these requests. This person will prepare and update communication materials for all stakeholders. The primary responsibility will be to develop and implement compliance programs, policies, reporting and practices for our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct quality assurance activities in compliance with AS9100 standards and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments and audits to evaluate supplier capabilities, processes, and performance.
  • Support internal audits per AS9100D schedule; auditing experience preferred.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to aerospace quality standards and certification requirements.
COMPETENCIES:
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and regulatory material.
  • Regulatory reporting and compliance documentation
  • Familiarity with Governance, Risk and Compliance terminology and strategies
  • Familiarity with CMMC, DFARS, ECCN's, etc. strongly preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex, circulatory data, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all work activities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Ethical Conduct: Commitment to upholding ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions and decision-making processes.
