Plant Accountant
Miamisburg, OHWe are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Plant Accountant to oversee the financial operations of a successful manufacturing plant. The Plant Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis specific to our plant operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in driving financial efficiency and profitability within the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee all aspects of plant accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory valuation, and fixed assets.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting processes to accurately track manufacturing costs and analyze variances.
• Collaborate with plant management to develop annual operating budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
• Participate in inventory management and cycle count activities to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory records.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
