Our Operations Team is expanding to support current and planned growth. We are looking for a Front Desk Receptionist with a warm personality and client service attitude to operate and execute the front desk activities in our Glastonbury, CT office location. Primary Job Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors with a welcoming positive presence.
- Greeting callers and routing incoming phone calls to the proper team members and departments across the agency.
- Handling queries via phone, email, and general correspondence.
- Operating and accurately distributing our general inquiry email box and faxes.
- Assisting with coordination of events happening around the office.
- Receiving and tracking incoming shipments.
- Keeping and maintaining of facility and supplies.
- Scanning, copying, and collating information and documents as needed.
- Issuing, printing, and mailing certificates of insurance.
- Updating client information in the agency management system as requested.
- Assist Account Managers with specific steps in the renewal process for certain types of policies.
- Creating and formatting letters using appropriate format using a variety of business tools.
- Utilize agency management system for daily activities, documentation and other duties as assigned.
- Work on projects and other work as assigned.
- Participate in internal training as well as carrier system training sessions.
- Assist with activities and projects as part of the company acquisition process.
- Review, update, and develop processes and workflows as needed.
- Participate in internal learning and development sessions
- Follow department and company defined processes, procedures, and workflows, within specified timelines, to drive consistency and efficiency, with a focus on client experience.

- Maintain confidentiality of client and company information and adhere to all personal and financial data privacy protocols
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, and people skills.
- Strong telephone etiquette.
- Ability to make independent decisions, research/analyze problems and develop solutions that will provide outstanding client experience and support team goals.
- Client focus approach with effective client service skills and an understanding of how to utilize resources to meet internal and external client needs.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.

- Ability to learn and utilize an agency management system and other technology/office equipment essential for the job function.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Fast and eager learner.
- Minimum six-months to one year of client facing and/or client service experience.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience following procedures and workflows with a focus on client experience.
- Previous experience working in a team environment and establishing positive working relationships.
- Commitment to continuous process improvement and team development.
- Fast paced office environment with significant telephone and in person activity.
- Ability to view computer monitors for extended periods of time
