The Revenue Analyst II performs a variety of tasks associated with hospital charging, billing and collections procedures

Tasks include:

+ Working assigned pre-claim edits

+ Resolving rejections and denials via appeal and/or adjustment

+ Issue/trend identification

+ Billing needs for processing and resolving inpatient and outpatient hospital charges

+ Contacts payers, patients and/or departments as necessary to facilitate timely payments or other required transactions

+ Receives and processes correspondence and phone inquiries from internal departments, payers and other parties regarding charges and/or billing discrepancies Responsible for keeping abreast of managed care and payer contractual arrangements in order to better comprehend the processing of accounts by third party payers

+ Navigate in patient accounting systems to determine various aspects of account detail necessary for data entry management

+ Responsible for maintaining provider enrollment records and resolving claim edits related to enrollment issues

Qualifications:

+ Minimum 1 year hospital billing experience required

+ Proficient in Epic systems experience required

+ Ideal candidates should have experience in hospital billing, claims management, denials, appeal processes, and revenue integrity.

+ Candidates must be able to read and interpret an EOB (Explanation of Benefits), Remittance Advice and CMS 1500 data elements.

+ CPC preferred
