Job Details Location: Texas Facility Type: Hospital (Trauma Center) Start Date: Jan 1, 2026 LOA: 30 days Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7a-7p; 7p-7a), 24-hour physician coverage Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in an emergency department Manage a range of acute and urgent cases, including trauma and cardiac events Deliver care in a chest pain-accredited facility with 21,000 annual ED visits Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and hospital staff Ensure timely evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of patients Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care Participate in trauma care at a trauma center Follow hospital protocols and best practices for emergency medicine Additional Information Board certification in Emergency Medicine required; BC in Family Practice or Internal Medicine considered with at least 2,000 hours of recent ED experience Active Texas medical license required Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required 9 hours of trauma CME annually required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
