Cage Cashier Supervisor

Job Description

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: 21 years of age.

POSITION SUMMARY: To supervise cage cashiers and cage activities within all areas of the casino cage. Ensure all employees are following proper procedures and company policies.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for the daily training and supervision of Cage Cashiers.

2. Responsible for documenting and counseling of Cashiers as well as completing disciplinary action forms, work history, PAF.

3. Must advise Cage Manager of any personnel matters that concern the Cashiers.

4. Must maintain the employee morale by treating all employees fairly and impartially.

5. Responsible for the security of the company's assets, which includes verification of cashiering transactions within their respective area. Proper training and follow through of the Window Cashiers is imperative.

6. Responsible for the review and compliance of the Company's Internal Controls and Departmental Procedures. All documents generated in the Cage should be reviewed for neatness, completeness and accuracy, before forwarding to Accounting.

7. Must verify the Banks and/or Windows at the end of each shift and complete a Daily Shift Report outlining any variances, problems, late/absences, and the ordering of supplies.

8. Exercise authority to suggest or make recommendations for: advancements, promotions, hiring or firing.

9. Handling Cage employees' grievances and/ or discipline.

10. Utilizes schedule to effectively plan work functions of Cage and its employees.

11. Make recommendations for transfers/ promotions through the e-transfer system.

12. In the absence of the Cage Manager, the Supervisor should be aware of all Cage related activity.

13. Must assist patrons in answering questions and direct them to areas of safety during emergencies as instructed by management, security or senior crewmembers.

14. Assure exceptional customer service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.

15. Initiate and conduct cage departmental meetings and buzz sessions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PHYSICAL - Must be able to:

1. Work within a restricted area of the cage with reasonable accommodations.

2. Bend and stand for long periods of time.

3. Operate computer, calculator, and adding machine.

4. Communicate verbally, with general public and employees.

5. See to validate chip and cash exchange.

6. Tolerate noisy and/or dimly lit environment.

7. Must be able to work flexible hours based on work demands.

8. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.

9. Must be able to hear. Can be augmented with a hearing aid.

10.Climb steps repeatedly.

MENTAL - Must be able to:

1. Have thorough knowledge of Front Window, Fill Bank and Main Bank.

2. Typing and CRT knowledge are helpful.

3. Understand and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Descriptions, daily memorandum and other written and verbal instructions.

4. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.

Qualifications:

PREREQUISITES/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

GAMING:

Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming Board.
