Production Trainer ($21/HR)

Department:Production

Reports to:Production Superintendent

Purpose & Scope: Train new hires in their assigned positions.

Principle Responsibilities:
  • Work daily with all new hires to train them in their assigned positions.
    • Teach proper set up, troubleshooting, and operation of machines
    • Teach proper technique to trimmers, product handlers, etc.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition for new hires into their respective positions, answering questions and mentoring new hires in their positions.
  • Present and walk-though job specific Standard Work Procedures
  • Complete and verify job competency sheets based on each job, and verify successful completion of qualifying period with supervisor and maintenance
  • Learn all jobs on the floor over a period of time
  • Teach all new hires Standard Operating Procedures for their assigned positions
  • Work closely with maintenance to ensure that machines are set up correctly
  • Maintain daily communication with dozens of employees at a time, answering questions and being overall helpful to new hires, as well as other members of the training team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
  • Spends majority of time on plant floor.

  • Experience in a fast paced environment, ever changing environment
