Project Manager To manage and follow up on the various projects the Director of Maintenance Support and VP of Maintenance have going on at any given time. To organize teams and ensure assignments are being completed and reporting out on the progress. To manage and create content, which includes documentation of projects. Using 6 sigma tools to validate effectiveness of projects. Using OE slides that identify the scope and desired outcomes along with timelines for reporting out and completing projects. Major responsibilities include managing multiple projects simultaneously that involve multiple cross-functional teams, developing and maintaining a project plan, monitoring all project activity, budget and resources to ensure the project remains on schedule, within budget, and that no rework is required, effectively communicating the project status, roles, scope changes, issues and risks to all project participants, understanding, supporting and applying standard project management tools as applicable, analyzing and prioritizing project activities and client needs in order to establish realistic deadlines, developing an understanding of the customer needs and the business and project objectives, identifying process improvement opportunities that will eliminate defective processes and introduce better control inputs and changes, and other projects and tasks as assigned. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree preferred, black belt certification preferred, minimum 3 years of experience leading projects, supervising or coordinating team projects, minimum 3 years of experience managing technical solutions and projects, advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project Manager experience preferred, knowledge in query capabilities, Qlik, Excel, SQL, ability to lead and manage, creating good working relationships with a team, good communication skills both written and verbal, ability to navigate the maze of people needed to make projects successful, regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job, willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required. Physical requirements include the ability to read; communicate verbally and/or in written form; remember and analyze certain information; and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines. While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be required to stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs/12kg.
