[About Our Client]Our Client is a wholly owned subsidiary of E-mart, the leading retailer in South Korea. E-mart is a division of Shinsegae Group, the largest retail conglomerate in South Korea.The company owns original brand, the holding company for five preeminent and enduring food retailing brands: Bristol Farms, New Seasons Market, Metropolitan Market, Newfound Market, Lazy Acres Natural Market, and New Leaf Market. Each brand has its own leadership team, company culture, operating philosophy, and go-to market strategy.
[Job Summary]Our Client is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The Sr. Accountant will apply accounting principles to prepare financial reports, compile financial statement, analyze financial data, and ensure financial compliance. The Sr. Accountant will also maintain and execute a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, support tax returns, general ledger entries, budgeting, forecasting, Consolidation Package and bank reconciliations.
[Job Description]KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:- Proficiency in MS Office Suite required- Reconciliation/Consolidation- Knowledge of US GAAP- Detail oriented, strong analytical- Attention to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.- Excellent communication skills- Accuracy and Quality of Work Performed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Reconciliation/Consolidation- Responsible for monthly general ledger close on a timely basis.- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, posting within the general ledger.- Maintain fixed asset/depreciation schedules- Prepare/adjusting journal entries for properties and consolidation- Perform in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, preparing account balance reconciliations, and financial statement preparation and analysis.- Perform with the development and preparation of monthly, quarterly, year-end internal reporting package.- Track progress of the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met.- Prepare and consolidate accounting information reported including preparation of consolidated balance sheet and income statement analytics.- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance- Assist with compilation of information for preparation of audits and tax returns, including preparation of sales/use tax returns- Coordinating the preparation of provisions for income taxes for companies under other states statutory reporting rules- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.- Perform special projects and other functions as necessary

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
Experience: A minimum of 3+ years' experience as a senior-level accounting
Skills/Competencies:- Proven working experience as an Accounting Assistant Manager- Experience with creating financial statements- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process- The ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion and meet commitments, proactively, seeking guidance as necessary.- Appreciate the value of working in a team with the ability to collaborate with peers and colleagues across the company.- Ability to proactively identify challenges and actively work to find solutions.- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.- High energy level with a hands-on approach combined with the ability to provide leadership and structure in a fast-paced dynamic environment.- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Workday knowledge is a plus.- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.- Relates well to others and builds trust.- Responsibilities extend beyond accounting system maintenance to the solution of complex managerial problems- "Can-do" attitude with ability to think critically and take initiative to make sure it happens.- Shows Drive and Initiative: Pursues high standards and maintains a high level of productivity.
