The EDI Engineer is responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. You will coordinate EDI setups with our Trading Partners as well as our IT, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams. You will also help develop and maintain our EDI Software as well as custom EDI applications using C# and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain EDI/AS2 solutions using industry-standard protocols (e.g., X12, XML, EPCIS).
  • Configure and manage EDI, including mapping, translation, and communication.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues using various technologies/tools including but not limited to EDI Mappings, Certificates, SFTP, SQL Procedures/Performance Tuning, Scripting, .NET, etc.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement EDI solutions that meet business needs.
  • Monitor and optimize EDI processes for performance and reliability.
  • Document EDI processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams and end-users as needed.
  • Write and maintain EDI Integrations between our ERP utilizing a variety of technologies including SQL, Powershell, SFTP, oData, etc.
  • Development and maintenance of custom utilities using C#, REST, and other languages as needed.
Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 Years of proven experience as an EDI Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of EDI protocols and standards.
  • Proficiency in EDI tools and software (e.g., IBM Sterling, SAP PI/PO,Cleo, BizTalk).
  • Strong SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, query tuning).
  • Experience with data transformation tools (SSIS, Informatica, etc.) and text parsing/manipulation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
