KOS OR Supervisor

Position Summary:

Works under the direction of the Administrator to ensure safe, efficient daily operations. Responsible for staffing schedules, daily staffing assignments, orientation of new staff members and continuing educational programs. Directly supervises staff in the performance of their daily duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Acts as a clinical resource for team in daily problem solving
  • Mentors new employees
  • Participates in Regulatory Compliance training and activities
  • Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement projects
  • Ensures compliance with established regulations and standards including quality improvement projects, quality assurance, and confidentiality and EHR documentation
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs annual performance evaluations, coaching and counseling
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
  • State of Idaho Registered Nurse OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho.
  • BSN preferred
  • Five years of experience in an operating room setting; charge nurse experience preferred
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
  • BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, etc.
  • Must be able to assist in patient transfer
  • Must be able to maintain a standing position
  • Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job
