Summary

Our client is seeking a Lead Business Intelligence Analyst to work on the Data & Business Intelligence Team. The Lead BI Analyst will assist with a variety of consulting projects, supporting the business intelligence and analytics business line. This role will perform individual tasks and lead the delivery of analytics services for the project and client. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, requirements gathering, and will be able to demonstrate how to leverage business intelligence tools to enable the value of data with visualizations and improved business processes. The Lead BI Analyst will work across multiple industries, but will be primarily focused within the Utilities sector. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and fluid environment where muti-tasking is common.

Responsibilities

Assist and sometimes lead the development of data visualizations and dashboards to tell stories that help drive business outcomes. Work within a team to design and develop data pipelines to ingest, transform, and cleanse data. Build analytics models, supporting a variety of domains and use cases. Lead research and compile information for senior project team members. Apply standard industry practices and principles, supporting data analytics. Grow personal technical capabilities toward a Data Visualization Expert, Data Engineer, or Data Scientist. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Chemistry, Physics, or Economics; or related degree from an accredited program (minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred); applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Expertise in telling stories with data. Ability to work methodically and analytically in a problem-solving environment; demonstrated critical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail with skills in facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving. Demonstrated leadership skills with an insatiable appetite for learning.

Preferred

Minimum of 2 years professional consulting experience. General understanding of data ingestion processes, tools, data quality, and data. General understanding of data and experience building dashboards and reports that inform data-driven decisions. Demonstrated experience with Power BI. Experience with databases, awareness of analytics and data science. Software development and data skills using SQL, Python, or similar. Understanding of electric utilities or manufacturing.
