About the Role

Spiegelworld is looking for a Cashier On-Call to join the team at Superfrico at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. As an On-Call Cashier, you will be responsible for playing a strong supporting role in the creation of a polished yet unpretentious dining experience; one which will be savored long after the last bite is a memory. This Cashier will be handling the transactions at the Bottle O retail space within Superfrico. The schedule will be based on the team's needs. The starting pay rate is $18.09/hr and then increases to $22.61/hr after 180 days of employment.

Primary Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional service.
  • Utilize guests' names when applicable.
  • Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
  • Maintain professional grooming and appearance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Monitor guests' needs, ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Up-sell merchandise and Bottle-O's
  • Offer samples
  • Assist with different sizes
  • Assist guests in bagging merchandise
  • Demonstrate promptness, efficiency, and courteousness to guests in accordance with venue standards.
  • Receive payment from guests, food servers and perform all cashier duties.
  • Adhere to established cash control policies and procedures.
  • Answer any guest questions and refer them, if necessary, to appropriate management.
  • Responsible for complying with Title 26 policies and procedures.
  • Handle cash and cash transactions accurately to protect the assets of the company.
  • Operate as a member of a team: help others and request help as needed.
  • Assist in the training of new employees as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
  • Must have valid TAM Card (Alcohol Awareness Certified)
  • At least one year experience as a cashier in a high volume restaurant.
  • At least one year previous cash handling, customer service experience
  • Ability to anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests in a timely manner.
  • A highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Effectively assist with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise and firmness.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US
  • Successful background check clearance prior to hire
  • At least 21 years of age.
