Located in our Neptune, NJ location, the Finance operation at Fulfill is a small team, and this position requires an organized and analytical team player to be engaged in a range of financial activities. The primary responsibility of the Staff Accountant will be assisting the Controller with managing Accounts Payable. Other responsibilities may include day-to-day accounting activities and account reconciliations as described below. The successful candidate will have operational experience and a proven track record of proactive problem-solving.

In this role, you will insure accounts payable, expense reports, and disbursements comply with operating procedures and internal controls, communicate procedures to staff members for compliance, analyze bills upon receipt, record vendor bills in Ceres (accounting system), prepare checks for signature upon receipt of appropriate documentation and prepare mailing of signed checks to vendors. In addition, you will prepare, process and record ACH payments, manage vendor records by reconciling monthly statements as appropriate and administer petty cash/gift cards, ensuring expense documentation is correct and complete, and reconcile and replenish account as needed.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in nonprofit accounting. Demonstrated knowledge of accounts payable, accounting procedures and principles and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close are a must. Strong proficiency in Office 365 products (particularly Excel, MS Teams, and MS Word) is essential. Experience with pivot tables and vlookup , Food Bank operations and/or CERES 4.5 Software is a plus.
