Position Overview

RGA's Global Tax Intern would assist in a collaborative manner within the Global Tax department, specifically working with the Domestic and International tax teams to assist with tax accounting, tax return preparation and planning. The intern would be exposed to and involved with a wide variety of responsibilities and will gain vital experience assisting the team with compliance and reporting, interacting and communicating in a professional environment, and developing and applying new skills.

Responsibilities

The intern may perform and/or assist with the following:
  • Federal, state and international tax compliance
  • Implementation of global minimum tax under Pillar II
  • Creating financial reports and recommendations for management
  • Workforce, expense, and data analysis
  • Analysis of book to tax differences
  • Accounting for income taxes under ASC 740
  • Special projects
  • Strategic planning tasks
The variety of work provided would allow the intern to develop a very well-rounded skillset and vast experience that would greatly benefit their development as it relates to future opportunities.

Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Completion of at least three advanced level accounting and/or tax courses
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookups
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to take on new challenges
