About the Opportunity: ? Job Title: Punch Press Operator ? Pay: $19/Hour ? Location: Fridley, MN ? Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Thurs 5:30AM-4PM. Daily functions:
  1. Performs all duties and responsibilities with an emphasis on safety.
  2. With close supervision, operates most types of punch press equipment, including coil or sheet fed presses and drill presses, by feeding and controlling their operation.
  3. Receives and works from work orders and prints for each job, using shop calculations, if necessary, to ensure proper types, quantities and quality of each part are produced.
  4. Uses a variety of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform part inspections before and during each production run.
  5. Monitors machines always for proper operation.
  6. Completes all shop traveler and timekeeping documentation as required for each job.
  7. Continuous learning about machine operation to gain skills and proficiency to operate more complicated machines on more difficult work, including machine setup.
  8. Works with close supervision in coordination with other team members and other departments in the company, maintains regular and timely attendance.
  9. Entry level punch press machine operation
  10. Operates a variety of punch press equipment to produce metal parts that meet print specifications. Working with team members to assemble products.
  11. Basic machine set-ep.
  12. Performing repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
Desired qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical requirements:
  1. Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.
  2. Regularly uses hands and fingers to manipulate a wide variety of high precision tools.
  3. Regularly bends, twists, stoops, pushes, pulls, and reaches with hands and arms. Must be able to stand or sit as needed for the entire shift.
  4. Good vision and hearing are required.
  5. Must have moderate physical strength and stamina, hand-eye coordination and dexterity in hand manipulation and muscle coordination.
