Business Analyst I

The Business Analyst role provides project, technical, process and testing support to Service Delivery. They will work with subject matter experts and other staff to analyze processes and systems, then determine needs to translate into business requirements. Objectives include ensuring that systems and applications are being fully utilized to achieve optimal efficiency. Another objective is to drive continuous improvement initiatives to successful conclusions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness while supporting organizational goals. The Business Analyst will work with associates, leaders, business partners, application vendors, and IT to achieve this end. The Business Analyst will also proactively manage small to medium projects. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
2-3 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in utilizing business analysis tools, data visualization tools, and project management software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to convert complex ideas into clear and concise documentation.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies is desirable.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Works with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
Participate in design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. Create and distribute relevant reports.
Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to Development and Service Delivery.
Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including creation of test scripts, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
Maintains current knowledge of the Bank’s regulatory environment with emphasis on issues relating to Digital technology.
Attends IT and other required meetings and prepares reports relating to areas of responsibility as assigned.
Performs other duties as may be required or assigned by Management.
