Ultimate Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist in Raleigh

As a Revenue Cycle Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing, coding, and collection of medical services. This position requires a strong understanding of medical records systems, medical billing and coding, and medical terminology.

This is a Full-Time IN OFFICE position Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor billing for accurate and timely filing; Identify billing errors, coding errors and ensure timely rebilling.

Follow up on outstanding claims and denials to ensure maximum reimbursement.

Submit claims electronically or via paper.

Maintain accurate patient accounts, posting payments.

Open, balance and close batches, use credit card machine/online credit card processing, where required.

Monitor patient accounts, set up payment plans, and update information as needed.

Take timely action, following up on all past due accounts.

Answer and make phone calls related to billing, both patient and insurance.

Determine when to send accounts to collections, per policy.

Job Requirements:

5 years+ of experience in medical collections/accounts receivable, ASC experience preferred.

Well versed in CPT, HCPCS Level II codes, ICD-9-CM

Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes, e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors.

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

BLS or ability to obtain

Computer proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment required.
