As a Process Controls Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Distributed Control System (DCS) operations within our chemical manufacturing facility. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our production processes through effective control system management and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day operations of the Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring its reliability, functionality, and performance.Lead a team of control system technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure operational excellence.Develop and implement control strategies to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce downtime.Collaborate closely with process engineers, operations personnel, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve control system issues promptly.Maintain and update control system documentation, including P&IDs, control narratives, and operating procedures.Implement and oversee process control software updates and system upgrades in coordination with IT and engineering teams.Monitor process performance data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to process controls and automation.Oversee the scoping, planning, and execution of process controls for capital projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.Proven experience (5+ years) in process controls and automation within the chemical manufacturing industry, with a strong emphasis on DCS.Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and leading projects.In-depth knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), including configuration, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.Proficiency in process control software and programming languages (e.g., PLCs, SCADA systems).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex process data and propose effective solutions.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.LocationNew Johnsonville, TNVibrantz is committed to protecting your privacy.
