Logistics Specialist The Logistics Specialist is responsible for executing customer vehicle relocation service orders and supporting business operations. This role involves managing customer order execution, facilitating communication through email and telephone with staff, independent contractors, and pickup/delivery contacts, and maintaining accurate data in CRM systems. Responsibilities: Manage execution of customer orders, ensuring timely coordination and scheduling of vehicle pickups and deliveries according to customer instructions. Ensure efficient execution of orders by linking multiple orders and overseeing additional services such as vehicle detailing, titling/registration, and vehicle storage placement. Communicate effectively through email, telephone, and CRM with staff, independent contractors, and pickup/delivery contacts, escalating issues to management as needed. Promptly update CRM activities and notes, maintaining accurate data after each communication, including uploading photos and scanned documents. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable DOT regulations and Federal, State, and Local laws. In the manager's absence, calculate and offer flat fees on orders by emailing bid sheets to all independent contractors. Manage storage facility operations, including tracking vehicle inventory and ensuring vehicles are prepared for customer delivery or further services. Conduct vehicle checks, noting any damage or issues, and take inventory of items left in vehicles. Move vehicles in and out of the lot, ensuring they are staged correctly for driver pickup. Maintain accurate vehicle inventory records and communicate any vehicle issues to headquarters for resolution. Essential Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems and strong customer support capabilities. Experience with dispatch, inbound and outbound calls. Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience; inventory experience is a plus. Strong Microsoft Office Excel, data entry, and CRM experience. Typing proficiency with a minimum score of 37 WPM. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in logistics, scheduling, and coordination. Additional Skills & Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Advanced computer skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in managing concurrent projects. Professionalism, honesty, and a strong work ethic. Comfortable working on-site and communicating with independent contractors. Work Environment: This position is on-site in Springfield, VA. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The work environment is fast-paced and requires effective communication with independent contractors to assign orders and serve as their main point of contact. The role offers opportunities for growth within a women-owned company with 11 different departments. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, VA.
