Commercial Job Summary

This position is the subject matter expert with respect to developing and operating the framework of risk management, control, reporting, and continuous efficiency improvement within the commercial organization. Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on all of Freeport LNG’s commodity activities will be the foundation of the role. Position requires daily interface with the Commercial department’s Commercial Execution, Toller Services and Corporate Support teams, as well as, Marketing, Accounting, and Finance teams. Ideal candidates will be self-starters and team players, requiring minimal oversight, and willing to take on multiple tasks simultaneously with a keen attention to detail. Experience in commodity risk management of energy commodities including NGL, LNG, Natural Gas, and/or ERCOT power, and reasonable understanding of ETRM systems, processes, and controls are required. The ideal candidate for this Junior Analyst position will be self-starters and team players who are interested in personal growth and are willing to take on new tasks to add value, even if they do not relate directly to their job description. The Junior Analyst position will work in an open, fast-paced environment with daily responsibilities, timely deadlines and responsibility for managing projects/tasks assigned. Real time problem solving, attention to details, accuracy, and timeliness is necessary for success in this role.

Duties/Responsibilities

Continuously assist in development and improvement of FLNG’s risk management activities using industry standard best practices and maintain corporate awareness of developing practices. Assist to monitor adherence to risk management policies and procedures. Assist to monitor and report positions, exposures, and commodity risk accurately and timely. Liaise with front office and back office groups to understand complexities of transactions which impact the business, and with Freeport Internal Audit to ensure that the required controls are in place. Assist to investigate commodity risk and data anomalies for root cause, including determining and implementing proper corrective action. Assist to enhance existing reporting of positions, valuation, and other ETRM metrics. Troubleshoot, design and implement new tools and reports to improve business functions, infrastructure, and socialization of information. Establish and maintain high standards of data control management including quality, vetting, and reviewing all external inputs and updates into the ETRM. Work with various SMEs and business groups to assist in ETRM system design, configuration, development, testing and implementation for enhancements, maintenance and upgrades. Assist to analyze and review proposed new products, strategies, and transactions to facilitate system improvements, business development, and other changes necessary to support dynamic business needs. Able to identify, analyze, and proactively drive improvements to existing processes, including ensuring that system procedural controls are effective and documented appropriately. Maintain risk related configuration data in the ETRM system, including contract & vendor management with Legal & Procurement groups. Support development, documentation, and management of processes and procedures in relation to Commercial Policies & Procedures (CPP), Business Continuity Plan (BCP), Non-conformance Review (NCR), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), User Guides, and continuous process improvements (CPI). Support the daily and monthly Corporate Support inventory balancing, commodity actualization, commodity settlements, and invoicing functions as required. Ad hoc analytical support as directed by the Lead of Corporate Support. Assist in general Project Management to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business process including: •Organizing project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements •Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing •Ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards •Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing project on time and to budget •May include work managing multiple, interrelated projects (including business transformation projects) •On some projects, the work may include integrating vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables. Essential Functions

Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office tools specifically with regard to advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio. Ability to design and prepare process flow diagrams. Good knowledge of the natural gas, power, LNG, and NGL commodity markets. Demonstrated excellence in the use of one or more Energy Trading and Risk Management Systems Strong understanding of physical and financial commodities trading, and risk management controls. Ability to interpret and maintain in-depth understanding of key commercial agreements. Strong, effective and accurate verbal, written, and presentation communications. Intrinsic motivation and commitment to do the work necessary. Ability to adjust to the pace of work within the department, as it may change periodically Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and understanding the needs of others within the organization. Ability to independently manage, prioritize, and organize work. Strong analytical skills; foresight to effectively identify, rationalize and quantify opportunities and challenges, analyze possible solutions and propose the optimal course of action. Recognition of risks and opportunities, coupled with an ability to negotiate rationally through complex situations. Ability to work effectively on short notice during off-hours when necessary. Ability to remain calm in stressful conditions to reach a positive outcome to the situation. Willingness to cross-train in other areas of the larger commercial team.

Minimum Education Required: BA in finance or related business or quantitative discipline. Advanced degree is preferred.

Minimum Experience Required: 1+ years’ experience in commodity risk management or trading of energy commodities (NGL, LNG, Natural Gas, ERCOT); preferably with a strong understanding of ETRM systems, processes, and controls.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are essential Excellent presentation and soft skills Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple activities in pressure situations timely and with a high degree of accuracy Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)

HSE Roles and Responsibilities

Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions. Working Conditions and Physical Expectations

Operates in a professional office environment within or outside of an industrial plant environment. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to possess certain communication skills, i.e. audible speech, hearing, etc. and may be required to express or exchange information by means of spoken word to impart oral information counterparts and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls as necessary to perform essential job functions.
