Activities Director needed for large retirement and assisted living facility to plan and oversee recreational events and programs for the elderly and disabled. Create and lead activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, various types of musical sessions, and sports/games to enrich their social skills to promote active and fun lifestyles. Essential Position Functions: Develop a monthly activity calendar and ensure it is posted throughout facility and meets state and company regulations. Recruit, organize, train and supervise resident volunteers to lead programs. Oversee the little store. Plan and maintain budget of inventory for activities supplies and holiday decor. In charge of maintaining all holiday decor throughout building. Oversee Bus Driver and transportation schedule. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of the resident's activity program, and as necessary, modifies accordingly. Attend and help host all staff development programs as assigned by the Director / Administrator. Plan and coordinate the facility newsletter. Coordinate resident council to ensure resident input into the activity program. Coordinate fundraising activities as approved by the Director / Administrator. Minimum Requirements: Must be fully COVID19 vaccinated. Must also pass criminal background checks, fingerprinting and drug testing.
