Leading Process Automation Company has a Full-Time Automation Engineering position based in Durham, NC. This company has been serving the Life Sciences, Energy, Chemical and other major industries for decades. As part of this team, you will be a significant contributor on the Project Execution Team. You will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of customers' automation systems during capital projects. You will have close interaction with project management and account management to ensure that the project is delivered within the schedule and budget and with the high level of quality customers expect. In addition, you will apply your expertise to support sales, generate estimates and proposals and contribute to operations and project management as needed.

Responsibilities:

Lead and work in a project team to meet schedule and budget.

Design and implement process control strategies.

Implement control strategy configurations within the DCS System.

Write design documentation for a variety of continuous and batch process control applications

Support FAT and SAT testing

Support Start-up and commissioning activities at customer sites.

Troubleshoot system hardware, software, network and instrument bus technologies.

Configure process modeling & simulation (using both Mynah MiMic software & DeltaV)

Work independently on-site at a customer location.

Required experience/competencies:

B.S. Degree in CHE, EE, ME, Computer Science or other related disciplines

Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience

Experience working with Emerson DeltaV Control System

Understanding of regulated or validated systems.

MS Office experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to meet project team commitments and deadlines

Customer focused

Be a U.S. Citizen with a valid driver's license.
