Job Title: Inside Sales Associate 1 - Plumbing SupplyLocation: Colorado Springs, COPay Range: $22.97 - 34.47/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM -5:00 PM (eligible for overtime)

This position will remain open until 12/6/2024, or until the position is filled, whichever is later.

Brief Position Summary:

We are seeking a full-time Sales Associate for our Colorado Springs location. Qualified candidates will have plumbing knowledge, and/or experience as a plumber, as well as some experience in sales. This position uses their product knowledge on plumbing and heating products to ensure that customers (both contractors and homeowners) have everything they need for the job. This is a fast-paced role where you will receive incoming phone calls, discuss customer needs, and process orders for customers.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Primary:
  • Develop Sales leads or requests by:
    • Communicating overall value of doing business with Rampart Supply
    • Identifying and addressing customer resistance
    • Answering incoming sales inquiries and engaging in technical discussions with potential customers
    • Qualifying leads and following up on opportunities
    • Creating timely written quotes
    • Conducting follow ups for existing quotes and project leads
  • Develop customer solutions and prepare bid packages for customers
    • Analyzing customers needs, assessing product availability, researching special orders, and creating price quotes/bid documents
    • Advising customers on project, equipment, or application requirements
    • Identifying value added solutions and closing additional purchase of products
    • Interpreting the project schedule to identify required equipment delivery dates and expedite selection, pricing, submittals, approval and procurement
    • Assuring that potential risk factors have been evaluated and reviewed with senior management
  • Maintains a productive work environment by:
    • Assisting with inbound calls
    • Complying with procedures rules, and regulations
    • Collaborating and participating with marketing programs and initiatives
    • Participating in the identification and implementation of process improvements
    • Regularly evaluating methods, looking for ways to improve productivity and efficiency
    • Reporting any unsafe conditions to your supervisor
  • Additional duties as required
    • Assisting the Sales Manager with projects as needed
Education, Skills, Training, & Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of plumbing and heating products required
  • Prior plumbing and heating industry sales experience preferred
  • At least 6 months experience with order entry
