Job Description
Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Job Specialty: Surgical Services

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (Variable between 06:30 - 23:00)

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: 2 years required, with possible exceptions based on unit needs

License: Valid state license required

Certifications: BLS and HSPA/CBSPD required

Must-Have:
- Proficiency in decontamination and assembly
- Experience with flexible endoscope reprocessing, including bronchoscopes, colonoscopies, EGD scopes, EBUS, EUS, enteroscopes, ERCP, fiber optics, flex sigmoidoscopes, TEE scopes

Job Description:

- Cover shifts within operating hours from 06:30 to 23:00
- Participate in on-call, holiday, and weekend rotations as required based on experience
- Proficiently perform decontamination and assembly tasks
- Reprocess flexible endoscopes, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and maintained according to protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team members in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Float within the hospital when needed, adhering to job and unit-specific requirements
- Complete modules during scheduled orientation (up to 8 hours)
- Provide two supervisor references
- Comply with vaccination requirements, including mandatory flu vaccine with exemptions available for medical/religious reasons
