We are seeking a strong champion of our company and our brands in a Plant Manager of our Mill Creek Brewery in Pottsville, PA. This role will oversee management of all areas of the Brewery to produce products by directing personnel and activities so that required production is manufactured on schedule, safely, within quality standards, and meets cost objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Director of Operations and management in the development of short and long-range business objectives. Responsible for maximizing efficiency and productivity of managers, production workers, and manufacturing processes. Analyze data to ensure operational efficiencies are being maintained or improved. Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, and manpower. Identify operational improvements and develop ROI based business cases for presentation to company leadership for approval. Champion plant capital projects. Develop plant goals which are aligned with, and in support of company goals. Ensure that product manufacturing conforms to established customer and company quality standards. Review quality data to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained or improved. Hire, coach, develop, and evaluate staff. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consult with Human Resources Department as appropriate. Manage direct reports to ensure that proper goals, policies, and job requirements are followed through. Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local regulations. Establish and monitor overall plant performance for quantity, efficiency and quality standards. Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment through the implementation of sustainable preventative maintenance programs. Assist in promoting accountability throughout the organization. Provide a positive attitude and a strong hands-on leadership style consistent with the company's core values and mission statement. Promote a 'do more with less' mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a culture of high safety expectations. Experience in Microsoft Outlook Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Embrace flexibility and be responsive to change in a positive manner. Proficiency in project management skills and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously to meet deadlines. Self-starter, with the ability to work independently or as a team. High energy to drive business self-sufficiently. Supports annual safety training to keep all Operation Employees safe on the job. May perform other duties as required by immediate supervisor.

Physical Demands

: Required to move about facility. Ascend/descend structures as needed. Ability to lift 70 lbs. Must be able to wear safety equipment as needed. Must be comfortable working at heights and using safety harnesses as needed.

Requirements

Required Education &/or Experience: Bachelor of Science Degree or extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably the beer industry. 15 plus years in a production environment; manufacturing beverage products. Familiarity with the brewing processes and equipment used. Foundational knowledge of utility processes and systems utilized in a brewery environment (refrigeration, steam, water, CO2, air). Knowledge of budgets, KPIs and metrics. Experience and knowledge of High-Speed Packaging lines. Ability to create and deliver presentations as needed. Strong interpersonal skills - effective communicator. Exceptional leadership skills.
