Position Overview:

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for assisting with the closing of the books and preparation of financial statements, including monthly/quarterly account analysis and reconciliation, journal entries, and work papers for our client companies.

The Senior Tax Accountant also leads preparation of tax returns for individuals and corporate multinational clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the integrity of general ledgers for multi-sites and companies.
  • Coordinate the completion of the balance sheet account analysis.
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
  • Provide accounting expertise to assist other areas in understanding financial information.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Perform all tasks associated with the general ledger, enter monthly journal entries, execute monthly closing entries, and execute the month-end general ledger.
  • Preparation of tax returns for individuals (Schedule C, schedule D, schedule E, form 1116, form 8865, form 5471, FBar 8938) and corporate clients (form 1120, form 1120-S, form 1065, form 990)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Branch Manager

Desired Skills/ Experience/Attributes:

  • 5 - 7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior work experience with accounting for multiple companies.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures on manual and automated systems.
  • Tax preparation experience is necessary
  • Individual will possess a business mindset with demonstrated customer service skills working within a team environment.
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • EA/CPA is a plus
  • CCH knowledge is a plus
  • Fluency in French is a plus.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

Bachelor / Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or French DUT/BTS in accounting + a minimum of 4 years working experience
