Job Description

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  • Conduct training sessions for new hires and existing employees on assembly procedures, testing methods, and packaging techniques.
  • Develop and update training materials, manuals, and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate proper assembly techniques and ensure trainees understand and follow work orders, engineering drawings, and other relevant documentation.
  • Provide hands-on training in building and testing for a variety of assembly families.
  • Assess trainees' skills and provide feedback to improve their performance.
  • Ensure all trainees understand and comply with safety standards and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the Actuator and Aiken Assembly departments.
  • Support the Assembly departments in achieving production goals and maintaining quality standards.
  • When there are no training needs, assist with production tasks as an operator to ensure smooth and efficient workflow and ensure TAKT is being met
WHO YOU ARE:

You will make sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information, provide timely and effective information to others across the organization, and stage activities and schedules

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of production experience in various Actuator and Valve Assembly product families.
  • Strong understanding of assembly procedures, Engineering Data Sheets, engineering drawings, packaging capsule sheets, and bills-of-material.
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings and electrical wiring schematics.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in determining the proper sequence of operations and/or destination of incoming items based on business needs.
  • Proficient in using MS Excel, Word, and accessing files to view Assembly Procedures (AP's), Test Procedures (TP's), EDS, and Digital Paper (engineering drawings).
  • Understanding of product test documents and record retention requirements, including Nuclear record retention.
  • Comfortable participating in customer audits.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and mentor employees.
